Don Young
Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Donald Young comes from a musical family. His grandfather was a bandleader in the 1920s 30s and 40s. His mom played trumpet in the Navy WAVES orchestra and his brother is a professional drummer in Nashville.
Don has been a professional musician for over thirty years and is a master of many styles including swing, rock, country, jazz, folk, celtic, hawaiian, dixieland and children’s music.
Don is a wizard on acoustic and electric guitar, upright and electric bass, ukulele, tenor banjo, tenor guitar, mandolin and guit-organ (what’s a guit-organ?). He has played in bands of Randy Travis, Commander Cody, the Drifters and the Coasters, the Platters, and has been the Musical Director of Spotlighter’s Theatre Troupe in Malta, NY since 2008.
